Hello, it's 1:05 in the morning and I'm still awake. Though I know no one will read this but, who cares. I don't know man, I'm kinda cynical about writing down my thoughts publicly; does this feels gay?

Anyway, exams are finally over... I felt like I've wasted 2 years of my life, in secondary one and two where I basically did nothing everyday except for eating, sleeping and playing. I slept through almost EVERY lesson. So this exam was particularly "special" for me because well, it is sorta my "first" finals, considering the fact that I just did not study at all last time.

I did badly for my Physics, by the way.

Sometimes I wonder why I bother to buy clothes that I think will make me look nice, get a good looking haircut, lose weight when I know I'm fine, spend 15 minutes doing my hair, try different products to make my face look presentable, spend hours watching videos on Youtube on hair, makeup and skin and ended up getting depressed because all these girls are so beautiful?

You ask, why do I bother doing this? It's not about impressing people, really, no. All I ever wanted was to feel alright, comfortable while holding conversations and having fun with my friends. Do you know how it feels not even being able to hold a decent conversation with someone because you're frantically trying to figure out what are you going to say next and alongside panicking about how presentable you are and whether sitting or standing in this position makes oneself look fat. Trying to hold it in and turning it into a horrible joke when someone complements you, because what if someone thinks you're not worthy of that complement and is secretly laughing and puking inside???

Why do I even try when I know that even if I do look good, people won't like me? This feeling really gets up to me sometimes. I want to give up and hide away from everyone where looks don't matter and I don't have to give a shit about how fat and ugly I look.

How long can I keep it longer? Everyday I struggle with the crippling embarrassment.. Do I really have to be skinny and good looking to feel good about myself and actually not feel embarrassed when talking to other people? I don't know.. In this world, everywhere you go, no matter what you do. There's no chance that you won't be judged. You're judged.

Teachers are no exceptional. Though often thought as a role model, some are opposite. Do you have to be in the first class to be able to do a presentation in front of the school? Not that I want to, but my point. Don't think that just because you're from the first class you are the smartest out of all. So what if you're smart? Your academic excellence cannot make up for your disgusting mindset. Being in the first class doesn't always mean you're ahead of everyone is every single aspect.

When can I talk to anyone without feeling any inferiority?

Got back my results and I'm not really happy about it.. Though I passed all and almost failed English if my teacher didn't gave me 2 marks... Got the same marks for 3 subjects, and it's a good mark :)

Overall coped well with studies, except that I'm just to lazy to study and do notes. I hate Social Studies. What a gay subject, what is the point of us knowing what had happened in Sri Lanka? I'd rather they focus more on the important subjects.

Just came back from a *quite* heavy dinner. I ordered Fish baked rice. Then after that we were still hungry so we ordered Fish and Chips LOL. After that I went to get some clothes. I was about to pay for a sweater when upon closer inspection I noticed a yellow stain on it. No wonder it was on sale. I will not have forgiven myself if I bought that. I am still waiting to get a new bag. Fuck Everlast. My $49.90 is gone like that. Is there any brand of bag that is any good?

Reading this book called His Robot Girlfriend by Wesley Allison. Great read with light hearted content and not with slow, draggy events. Would recommend! :-)

Hello! TGIF! School starts 3 days ago and it's INSANE! No lah, overall I really like ALL my teachers. Except my chinese teacher and physics class.

I like school, but I seriously damn tired, I need sleep!!! And tomorrow have to wake up damn early at 6....

Overall school fun, classes are fun and surprisingly i can understand all LOL. Maths lesson damn boring sia, the teacher damn happy and friendly. TOO HAPPY AND FRIENDLY.

I so busy I don't even have time to Farmville, cook dinner, go online... I need to get a ipod so I can play farmville in it. Yep.

Helllooooo! So bored so I'm here doing a short post. Went out with my mom today and I made her spent a lot of money so I feel pretty bad.... I finally found a scrap book. Apparently it's called a "art book" instead.. And PICKLES. I ordered extra large portions of pickles in my 6-inch. I LOVE PICKLES.

My Christmas present is here! It was originally gonna be a Beatles DVD but I decided to ask for Glee instead.. So I got Glee complete season 1 DVD! So damn ecstatic! Mom spent quite a lot for it so thanks! :-)

OH YES, my cousin went to UK and FUCKING LIVERPOOL. She went to the Beatles Museum where there are like legit Beatles memorabilia! Actual instruments used by them. She got me the official badge and a Abbey road pen. She even kept the plastic bag for me, which I am going to add it to my poster collection.

It's Christmas' Eve! I wanted to bake some cookies; but very lazy to get the ingredients....

1. Be more hardworking.

-If I was more hardworking at the start of 2010, I will probably not be in the last class. I thought I still had plenty of time to study. I only started studying like 1 and a half month before the End Of Year and then realized there is no way I can finish so revising so many subjects in 1 month.

I painfully regretted.... Just a teeny tiny bit of effort to pass my maths...

2. Save my money.

-When I was young I was very good with my money. I always saved my money.. Nowadays, I can't seem to leave my money alone.. I just had to use it. Always said I want to save my money at the beginning of a new year; but never happened.

3. Be more social.

-I will hang out more.

4. Do NOT sleep in class.

-My terrible bad habit. I always sleep in class. I missed most of my math lesson because I was sleeping..

5. Decrease the amount of time I go online.

-I spend like about 6 hours online everyday, and I must decrease it to 3 hours maximum.

6. Be fitter/Not be that fat.

-Haven't exercised in months. I must be fitter and exercise more.

Hi, this post was supposed to be on 22 May.

Went to a midnight outing with family and I fucking love my dad's car. It is so big!

Even better than a sport car, to me.

We went for noodles at Changi Village then then East Coast Park beach.

The noodle was not that awesome but we had some very nice tea :)

There are so many people at the beach even thou' it's super late.

LOL, we saw many couples in the car making out and " " in the car. My dad even flashed the headlights at them when we went pass them. HAHA.

I stood there staring at the sky. (ouch @ my neck)

I seriously didn't know that there are so MANY MANY stars in the sky at night, it was a beautiful sight.

Hi all, you might have seen that I've changed a new layout and there are only 2 posts in this blog.

Well that's because I've deleted the old one due to some very annoying layout problem which I can't fix.

So I've changed a new layout which taken me quite some time. So now I've only moved 2 posts from my old blog to here.

Finally, 2 papers done! English and language. What a load off my mind. I just realized that it's Math on Tuesday! Argh, that leaves me only 3 days to study!
Anyway, the Math results, I've got the second last in the whole class. 43/100. Hah! That's pathetic.

Oh, I got to go now. My mom's screaming at me.

15 Facebook rules

Found something very interesting on Facebook today. And I totally agree with it.

1. Do not abuse the Facebook status feature. It specifically says "What's on your mind?"...not "What are you currently doing every five minutes of your life".

2. Do not become a fan of Facebook pages that don't apply to you.(I VERY AGREE WITH THIS) People are just going to laugh when you are joining Facebook pages such as 'I love morning sex' or 'Unexpected blowjobs' when you are still clearly a virgin.

3. Do not like your own statuses or photos otherwise I think people are going to think you're a little bit sad. Although, that's my opinion.

4. Do not send silly gifts on Facebook applications. Yes...we are very grateful you considered sending us a kitten or a hug...but how about sending me something in real life? ( I don't mind people sending gifts on facebook though. Haha)

5. Do not post attention seeking statuses. This includes making up stories such as your grandmother falling down the stairs to get people to comment and like your status. (I VERY AGREE WITH THIS)

6. Do not post indirect, subliminal statuses. If you are in love with 'him' and 'he' is constantly on your mind, do us all a freaking favour and tell him for heaven's sake! This includes b***hing about someone without writing the person's name. We all want to know who the d**khead is thank you very much.

7. Do not, if you have Facebook on your mobile, post a photo of everything you eat during your daily adventures.

8. Do not add someone, then post "Sorry...random add!" on the wall. You clearly thought that person was nice looking...but you shouldn't be adding people you don't know anyway.

9. Do not have false middle names. You are not 'James Bedrock Goldstone' or 'Mandy JustinBieber Riddles'. (I don't agree with this, HAHA)

10. Do not put an apostrophe in your name (such as 'George Harrold') just to appear first on your friend's chat list.

11. Do not tag all your friends in a 'supposedly funny' photo you discovered on Google Images.

12. Do not have false profile pictures. It's an insult to make us think you're a Pokémon.

13. Do not ask people to comment or 'like' your photos of yourself. I refuse to explain myself with this one.

14. Do not have your relationship status set to "It's complicated". If your relationship is so damned complicated that you have to identify it as such on your Facebook profile, get the hell off Facebook and go fix your relationship.

15. Do not import your 'tweets' from Twitter. If we wanted to read your tweets...we would have Twitter accounts wouldn't we?

Ringo Starr, the luckiest no-talent on earth. All he had to do was smile and bob his head. Oh yes, and keep a beat for three of the most talented musicians/songwriters of this century. What other impression could one have when judging the role that Ringo played in the success of the Beatles? Did Ringo really make a difference? Upon listening to the latest release by The Beatles, Anthology 1, you get a chance to listen to Pete Best and two other drummers play on over twenty songs. Was Ringo simply in the right place at the right time? The following items may help in going beyond the image:

Ringo was the first true rock drummer to be seen on TV. All the Rock & Roll drummers featured with Elvis, Bill Haley, Little Richard, Fats Domino and Jerry Lee Lewis were mostly R&B drummers that were making the transition from a swing drumming style of the 40’s and 50’s toward the louder and more “rocking” sound that is associated with “I Want To Hold Your Hand”. They were dressed in tuxedos and suits and held the drumsticks in the “traditional” manner of military, orchestra, and jazz drummers. Ringo showed the world that power was needed to put the emphasis on the “rock” in Rock & Roll music, so he gripped both sticks like hammers and proceeded to build a foundation for rock music.

Ringo changed the way drummers hold their sticks by making popular the “matched” grip of holding drumsticks. Nearly all drummers in the Western World prior to Ringo held their sticks in what is termed the “traditional” grip, with the left hand stick held like a chopstick. This grip was originally developed by military drummers to accommodate the angle of the drum when strapped over the shoulder. Ringo’s grip changes the odd left hand to match the right hand, so that both sticks are held like a flyswatter. Rock drummers along with marching band and orchestral percussionists now mostly play with a “matched” grip, and drum companies have developed straps and accessories to accommodate them.

Ringo started a trend of placing drummers on high risers so that they would be as visible as the other musicians. When Ringo appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1964, he immediately caught the attention of thousands of “drummers to be” by towering over the other three Beatles. These same “wannabe” drummers also noticed that Ringo was playing Ludwig drums and they immediately went out and bought thousands of these drumsets, thus establishing Ludwig as the definitive name in Rock & Roll drums at that time.

Ringo changed the sound of recorded drums. About the time of Rubber Soul (released Dec. 6,1965), the sound of the drumset started to become more distinct. Along with help from the engineers at Abbey Road studios, Ringo popularized a new sound for the drums by tuning them lower, deadening the tonal ring with muffling materials, and making them sound “closer” by putting a microphone on each drum.

Ringo has nearly perfect tempo. This allowed the Beatles to record a song 50 or 60 times, and then be able to edit together different parts of numerous takes of the same song for the best possible version. Today an electronic metronome is used for the same purpose, but the Beatles had to depend on Ringo to keep the tempo consistent throughout the dozens of takes of the songs that you know and love so well. Had he not had this ability, the Beatles recordings would sound completely different today.

Ringo’s “feel” for the beat serves as a standard for pop-rock record producers and drummers alike. It is relaxed, but never dragging. Solid, yet always breathing. And yes, there is a great amount of musical taste in his decisions of what to play and when to play it. In most recording sessions, the drummer’s performance acts as a barometer for the rest of the musicians. The stylistic direction, dynamics, and emotions are filtered through the drummer. He is the catcher to whom the pitcher/songwriter is throwing. If the drumming doesn’t feel good, the performance of any additional musicians is doomed from the start. The Beatles rarely if ever had this problem with Ringo.
Ringo hated drum solos, which should win points with quite a few people. He only took one solo while with the Beatles. His eight measure solo appears during “The End” on the “B” side of Abbey Road. Some might say that it is not a great display of technical virtuosity, but they would be at least partially mistaken. You can set an electronic metronome to a perfect 126 beats per minute, then play it along with Ringo’s solo and the two will stay exactly together.

Ringo’s ability to play odd time signatures helped to push popular songwriting into uncharted areas. Two examples are “All you Need is Love” in 7/4 time, and “Here Comes the Sun” with repeating 11/8, 4/4, and 7/8 passages in the chorus.

Ringo’s proficiency in many different styles such as two beat swing (“When I’m Sixty-Four”), ballads (“Something”), R&B (“Leave My Kitten Alone” and “Taxman”) and country (the Rubber Soul album) helped the Beatles to explore many musical directions with ease. His pre-Beatle experience as a versatile and hard working nightclub musician served him well.

The idea that Ringo was a lucky Johnny-on-the-spot-with-a-showbiz-stage-name is wrong. In fact, when Beatles producer George Martin expressed his unhappiness after the first session with original drummer Pete Best, the decision was made by Paul, George, and John to hire who they considered to be the best drummer in Liverpool - Ringo Starr. His personality was a bonus.

The rumors that Ringo did not play on many of the Beatles songs because he was not good enough are also false. In fact, he played on every released Beatles recording (not including Anthology 1) that include drums except for the following: “Back In The USSR” and “Dear Prudence”, on which Paul played drums due to Ringo temporarily quitting the band, “The Ballad of John and Yoko”, again featuring Paul on drums because Ringo was off making a movie, and a 1962 release of “Love Me Do” featuring session drummer Andy White.
When the Beatles broke up and they were all trying to get away from each other, John Lennon chose Ringo to play drums on his first solo record. As John once said, “If I get a thing going Ringo knows where to go, just like that..” A great songwriter could ask no more of a drummer. Except maybe to smile and bob his head.
